The Most Reverend Daniel E. Thomas, Bishop of Toledo and Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Cleveland, spent a busy weekend visiting the faithful and celebrating Mass at parishes last weekend.
In addition to administrative meetings on Friday, Bishop Thomas visited the motherhouse of the Sisters of Notre Dame in Chardon on Saturday morning. He celebrated Mass and then took time for fellowship, enjoying lunch with the sisters.
In the early evening on Saturday, Bishop Thomas traveled to St. Albert the Great Parish in North Royalton to celebrate the Vigil Mass on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity along
with the pastor, Father Edward T. Estok Jr, and parochial vicars Father Joseph H. Kim and Father John M. Pfeifer. The Mass was part of the parish’s weekend celebration of its 1959 founding.
Then on Sunday, Bishop Thomas headed to Lorain County, where he celebrated noon Mass in Spanish at Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain. Concelebrant was the pastor, Father William A. Thaden. After Mass, the bishop was greeted by parishioners and guests, some of whom were in town from Puerto Rico, California and Chicago.
