On April 3, the National Catholic Educational Association held its annual Lead. Learn. Proclaim. Awards reception in Cincinnati, Ohio, as part of their annual national conference, where select recipients from across the United States were recognized for their outstanding contributions to Catholic school education.
Father Bob Stec was one of 25 educators and one of only four pastors across the U.S. to receive this distinguished award. The award is validation of his leadership and support for St. Ambrose Catholic STEM School. It is also a validation for all SAS faculty and staff, and everything they are do daily for their students and families to provide an innovative environment of excellence in education. It is a reflection of their mission “to be a community where Jesus Christ is everything for us and students are challenged to reach their potential.”
“As I look at our school and its students, it is inspiring to see our Catholic school passing on strong values, offering and amazing education, and mostly empowering our students to develop their gifts, talents, and God-given potential,” said Father Stec.
The NCEA holds an annual conference for catholic educators across the U.S. The 2018 conference was held in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the Duke Energy Center. Catholic educators from across the United States gathered for professional development sessions and education. NCEA is the largest, private professional education association in the world. NCEA works with Catholic educators to support ongoing faith formation and teaching mission of the Catholic Church.
