The Reverend Mr. Kenneth F. Schneider

died Thursday, July 6, 1995 at Barber-ton Hospital after having received the prayerful support and consolation of the Sacraments. Reverend Mr. Schneider had been ill with cancer for the
past four years. `

Kenneth F. Schneider was born on August 5, 1943 in Elyria, Ohio to Robert and Mary Schneider. He was the oldest of eight children. He received a Bachelors Degree in Education from Kent State University in 1967. He also received a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Akron in 1973. He was an elementary schoolteacher with the Stow City Schools.

He married Diane Herman on June 26, 1965. When Ken entered the diaconate program in 1986, he received the enthusiastic support from his wife, Diane, and their four children: Robert, Kenneth, Matthew, and Amy. The love and loyalty of Diane and his family has helped him with the many demands of his studies, his work, and his ministry.

He was ordained to the diaconate on May 20, 1989 in the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Cleveland, Ohio by the Most Reverend Anthony M. Pilla. Following his ordination he was assigned to Immaculate Conception Parish, Akron. He continued to minister at Immaculate Conception Parish until his illness prevented him from doing so.
