Care for the Caregiver: Stress Reduction for Family and Friends, multiple dates and locations

Caregivers come in all shapes and sizes, all ages and circumstances. Some caregivers may be a wife or husband caring for their spouse; others may be an aging parent caring for an adult special needs child at home; and still others may be members of the "sandwich" generation, middle-age children providing care to their aging parents while also caring for their children who are still at home. No matter what the situation, we know the responsibility of care giving can at times be demanding and stressful. We have designed a program that responds to the needs of caregivers and offers them practical ways to care for themselves.

Caring for the Caregiver: Stress Reduction for Family and Friends is a workshop for caregivers to learn how to better care for themselves while caring for their loved ones. It is being offered on the following dates. All programming begins at 7:00 PM.

26 January 2010 St. John of the Cross (formerly St. Felicitas)

25 February 2010 St. Jude (Elyria)

29 April 2010 Our Lady of Victory (Tallmadge)

17 May 2010 Catholic Charities Health and Human Services (St. Augustine Manor – Cleveland)

24 May 2010 St. Francis De Sales (Parma)

Cost is $5 per participant. This program is co-sponsored by the Department for Marriage and Family Ministry and the Office for Women in Church & Society.
