24th Annual Eastern Churches Seminar—Marriage in Society: East and West or Nowhere, October 10-11, 2008

This seminar is open to clergy, religious and laity of the Eastern and Western churches and is especially helpful for religion teachers and pastoral ministers to aid their understanding of the Eastern traditions. People use the word “marriage” today with so many different definitions as well as connotations that we do sometimes wonder if we are going nowhere in using it. But, the church universal in its tradition from the East and West offers a solid and rich understanding of both marriage and sexuality that it challenges our contemporaries to look at this relation as a dynamic social and religious reality that enriches human existence and directs us to the glory of God.

The seminar will be held Friday, October 10, 2008 at St. Gregory of Narek Armenian Orthodox Church, 678 Richmond Road, Richmond Heights, OH 44143 and Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Notre Dame College, 4545 College Road, South Euclid, OH 44121.
