Prison Ministry Parish Resources
Over the last several years the Diocese has worked on the development of a ministry to those who are incarcerated in the jails and prisons of our Diocese. That ministry has made a great difference in the lives of people who are incarcerated because of the faithful and caring ministry of the many volunteers who have stepped forward from our parishes to be involved in the ministry.
The Sisters of Charity through the Saint Ann Foundation provided funding, a portion of which has been used for the production of a short video (nine minutes in length) to be used in the parishes to increase people's awareness of those who are incarcerated and their families, and to encourage those who feel they might be interested in this area of service.We would like to provide a copy for use in every parish. The video/DVD is nine minutes long and takes you into the Cuyahoga County and Geauga County jails to hear short comments from volunteers and to see the faces of those incarcerated there. If you have not already received a copy and would like to have one, please call the Parish Life Office and we will mail one to you. The program is available in both video and DVD format.
