Catholic Schools Transform Lives
Catholic schools in the Diocese of Cleveland are centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, focused on both academic excellence and personal growth, and welcoming of all who seek to learn and grow in a caring, Christian environment. Our schools develop students to be lifelong learners and critical thinkers who serve and lead those around them. Catholic schools serve both the faith community and the common good of society by educating students to become active and caring members of their communities, cities, nation, and world. The Diocese of Cleveland’s 111 Catholic schools serve nearly 42,000 students in the eight counties surrounding Cleveland and Akron.

The Diocese of Cleveland’s Better Together initiative seeks to enable all students to participate in elementary and secondary Catholic school classrooms by providing students, to the greatest extent possible, with the necessary services and support for success. This program of professional learning is building the capacity of Catholic schools to implement research-based strategies to support equal access to the curriculum and extra-curricular activities, regardless of their challenges, while ensuring high expectations are maintained for all students.
