The purpose of this webinar is to provide participants with a holistic view of stewardship that recognizes that it needs to be spiritually-driven, intended to change people’s minds and hearts. Any increase in the giving of money or volunteer hours that occurs is a happy by-product of having reminded parishioners that all we have is really a gift from God, who asks us to return a portion in the form of our time, talent, and treasure to support God’s work on earth. Having successfully completed this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Appreciate the spirituality that should underlie any stewardship or fundraising activity undertaken by their church
- Have the ability to differentiate between good stewardship practices and poor stewardship practices at the parish level
- Appreciate the importance of a parish modeling good stewardship for its parishioners by emphasizing financial accountability and transparency.
