We encourage people to report any suspected inappropriate behavior to the Diocesan Response Office, which is staffed by trained counselors and was established to respond to all allegations.

Question: Why do molesters sexually abuse children?
The causes of child sexual abuse are complicated and not entirely understood.  We do know that some adults molest because of sexual attraction to a particular age, gender or physical characteristics of children while others act out of loneliness, depression, or anxiety.
