Mass 4 Life 2017

mass4lifebanner

Each year on January 22nd we observe a Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children, remembering the anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision.  Thousands gather in Washington, D.C. for the “March for Life,” including several hundred students and faithful from the Diocese of Cleveland.  For the past several years, Bishop Lennon has celebrated a Mass for Life at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in solidarity with those in our nation’s capital.

We request that any parish or school groups that plan to attend the 2017 Mass 4 Life register their attendance at the Mass for Life, so that seating may be reserved appropriately.  Non-registered attendees are welcome, but will be requested to seat themselves in the remaining open seating areas.

We ask all parishes to include a special intercession in the Universal Prayer on Sunday, January 22, so that even those who are unable to attend the Cathedral liturgy may be joined together in prayerful solidarity.

This intercession is included in the Mass 4 Life Fact Sheet, as well as other logistical information you may find helpful for your planning purposes.
