First Things in Youth Ministry Cohort & Orientation Day

The First Things in Youth Ministry Cohort is designed for those who have been doing youth ministry for 3 years or less - or those who would like a refresher on the basics of working with youth in our diocese. The First Things Cohort will share practical and important information for doing youth ministry in a parish in the Diocese of Cleveland. Think of it as Basic Training in comprehensive youth ministry. It will provide resources and community to learn on topics including USCCB and Papal documents on youth ministry, diocesan standards, training on volunteers, safe environment, teen culture, programming, budgeting, fundraising, and more.
This cohort launches with the First Things Orientation Day on Monday, September 29. The Orientation Day will include Mass and lunch. Participants will meet representatives from various diocesan offices. Online or in-person cohort meetings will run every 2-3 weeks for 6 sessions starting in October. We will pick the dates and times that work best for the group.
Cost: $50 and includes all cohort materials and 1-year membership to the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry.
