The Office of Pastoral Care fosters a family perspective in church and society and promotes total ministry to, with, by, and for families in all stages by coordinating diocesan programs that provide resources and tools to pastors and lay pastoral care ministers.
By serving parish members throughout the diocese, this office provides training on how to support individuals and families during time of grief, bereavement, healing, and other needs associated with loss of person.
The Office of Pastoral Care currently offers training programs and retreats centered around the ministry of Consolation and the ministry of Care and Compassion.
Each person experiences significant life change uniquely in their own way. Pain varies in different degrees and may come all at once or in stages. Pastoral Care is dedicated to support and guide through such stages through ministry.
