It is the goal of the committee to promote spiritual growth in young people by providing opportunities, and special experiences that enable them to become concerned and sharing individuals of their family, church and community. Adult advisors are trained in the Family of God, I Live My Faith and Marian Medal Programs to work with participants in promoting the expression of the young person’s faith through positive actions and concrete spiritual experiences. The programs are intended to complement the formal religious education provided by the Catholic Parish School and PSR programs.
All programs are official religious recognition programs of the Roman Catholic Church in the USA for youth enrolled in Girl Scouts, USA, Camp Fire, Inc., Heritage Girls, parish youth and other similar organizations. The certificates and medals designed for each of these programs should be presented upon successful completion of the programs. They serve as both a reminder of the learned experience and as symbols of commitment to faith through prayer, service and responsible community participation.
