YM Bootcamp: Partnering with Parents
Thursday, March 20 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Parents are the primary catechists of their children, and as youth ministers, we have the privilege of partnering with them in forming young disciples. But how can we do this more effectively?
Join us for an evening of formation and conversation as we explore what it means to walk alongside parents in youth ministry. You'll hear from a Catholic couple who raised their children in the faith, only to find a lack of vibrancy in their adult faith lives. Their story offers valuable insights into the joys and struggles of faith formation at home—and how youth ministers can better support families.
Through an interview, open discussion, and Q&A, we’ll reflect on:
- What faithful parents are looking for in a partnership with the Church
- What worked, what didn’t, and what they wish had been different
- How youth ministers can better support parents facing challenges, including unexpected life events like teen pregnancy
Let’s build stronger Church-parent partnerships to help young Catholics stay rooted in their faith for a lifetime.
We will start with dinner at 6:30pm.
Please register by March 17.
