Formerly known as the Mary, Mother of the Good Shepherd Academy, the MMGSI Summer Session brings together parish employees and leaders from throughout the diocese to develop and fortify their pastoral leadership skills.
Through a blend of enhanced training modules, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities, the MMGSI Summer Session serves as a beacon of support and guidance for ministry leaders navigating the challenges of today’s world.

A four-day, three-night experience of formation that includes classes, ministry workshops, off-campus excursions, and more. Youth ministers, campus ministers, and all who work with those in grades 6-12 are welcome!
Leaning into hope we can find joy in greeting others who are seeking a connection with the Church. Join us for a day of reflection and growth designed for those who are the first point of contact with our parish community.
This two-day workshop will focus on the parish as employer. We will look at a variety of Human Resource topics including hiring practices, onboarding new staff, assessing job descriptions, human resource laws and regulations, dealing with interpersonal conflict and staff relations. This workshop is open to priests, deacons, PLCs & business managers.
This day will raise up the Church’s vision of evangelizing catechesis as well as address essential responsibilities of catechetical leaders: preparing & forming catechists, planning & administering a faith formation program, registration form information, child safety requirements, sacrament preparation & much more. Helpful resources will be plentiful!

This day offers your team the opportunity to step away together, be refreshed in their call to serve, and be strengthened in hope as we continue our journey in the Jubilee Year.
This year’s institute features tracks for directors and members of music ministries, paid or volunteer. Be inspired by Steve Petrunak, Jaime Cortez, extended breakout sessions led by local clinicians and plenty of time for prayer, food, and social time with fellow music ministers.

When I Call for Help: A Pastoral Response to Domestic Violence. Education, resources and hands on skills for dealing with coercive control and battering. Deacons and wives are invited to this later afternoon and evening of application for pastoral practice. Evening Prayer, social and dinner will also be included.
