The Most Reverend Richard G. Lennon, Bishop, Diocese of Cleveland was the principal celebrant at a Mass in which the Rite of Ordination was celebrated on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. The Mass was held at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, E. 9th & Superior Avenue in downtown Cleveland.
Ordination of these priests brought the total number of diocesan priests in the eight-county Diocese of Cleveland to 395. In addition, there are 119 religious order priests who serve in the diocese. They are graduates of Saint Mary Seminary, 28700 Euclid Avenue, Wickliffe, Ohio. The Diocese of Cleveland also operates Borromeo Seminary at the same address. These two educational facilities are part of the diocesan Center for Pastoral Leadership.

Rev. Matthew E. Pfeiffer celebrated his first Mass at 11:30 AM, Sunday, May 17, in Holy Family Church, Stow. A reception immediately followed in the Holy Family parish hall.
Father Pfeiffer will celebrate a Mass at St. Ladislas Church, Westlake, where he served his deacon assignment at 11:00 AM, Sunday, June 21. A reception is likely to follow this Mass in the St. Ladislas parish hall.
