Theresia Meela, mother of Fr. Deogratias Ruwaainyenyi, parochial vicar of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Wickliffe, died in Tanzania on October 30, 2009. Fr. Gary Chmura, pastor of Our Lady of Peace in Cleveland, traveled home with Fr. Deogratias for her funeral. In Tanzania they stayed in the Diocese of Moshi at St. Anthony Parish in the village of Mbahe, located at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro.
