Count The Village at Marymount among those pivoting this year to virtual fundraising events as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. In past years, the Celebration of Life Gala took place at a local hotel or banquet room and attracted hundreds of guests.
The 11th annual Celebration of Life Gala will begin on Oct. 18 and will culminate with a Facebook live end-of-event celebration that will be livestreamed 7-8 p.m. Oct. 22.
Marc Kotora and Jay Lucarelli are co-chairs of this year’s virtual gala. Auxiliary Bishop emeritus Roger Gries and Sister Mary Alice Jarosz, SSJ-TOSF, director of mission integration, will offer prayers and support.
The gala will feature a silent auction with mobile bidding and a 50/50 raffle. The four days’ events leading up to the livestreamed portion of the gala can be viewed on The Village at Marymount social media platforms -- Facebook, Instagram and Twitter – and will be distributed through Constant Contact newsletters.
For sponsorship opportunities, to donate an auction item or to make a donation – by Sept. 30, if possible -- call Liz Pencak, director of marketing and clinical liaison, at 216-332-1396 or 440-552-8754, or email lpencak@marymounthcs.org.
The Village at Marymount is a faith-based care campus that offers a continuum of care with services ranging from assisted living to skilled nursing, rehabilitation to secured memory care and hospice/palliative care. In the Franciscan spirit of valuing the gift of life in all its transitions, the facility’s mission is to provide an environment of compassion, competence and the celebration of life to all entrusted to the community of care.
Residents can experience programs and services with direct access to Cleveland Clinic Marymount Hospital.
