I wish to send along my cordial greetings with those of the clergy, religious and faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland to our brothers and sisters in the Jewish community as it marks the solemn observance of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the most holy days of the year for the Jewish community here and around the world. Echoing the sentiments of Pope Francis, “May these feasts bring abundant blessings from the Eternal One and be a source of intimate joy.”
As I become accustomed to my new home in Northeast Ohio, I look forward to meeting members of the Jewish community here as together we grow in respect and mutual friendship, bearing witness to our community of the values that spring from the adoration of the one God.
Shanah Tovah, a good year to all!
