The Secretariat for Catechetical Formation and Education staff serves as the director and moderator of all catechetical activities for the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. Sometimes referred to as OCFE (Office of Catechetical Formation and Education), the office collaborates with pastors and other clergy in their mission as catechists, assists parish education leaders in their supervision of parish faith formation, provides ongoing training and resources to assist catechetical programs, such as preparation for sacraments, at the parish level. A vital mission of this office includes supporting the operation, educational instruction and religious teachings of the 108 Catholic schools within the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
