Duty of God is a special program offered to all youth involved in the Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts USA, American Heritage Girls, and Trail Life USA. The purpose is to gain a deeper understanding of our faith and earn a special recognition. The scouts are asked to attend Mass for seven weeks, from Dec 3 - Jan 14, and briefly write about something they heard in the homily each week.
Participants who complete the program will receive a special certificate and a choice of commemorative pins. Check out the flyer and reporting page for details.
This flyer shows the pricing update for the religious emblems and pins which went into effect on December 12, 2022.
When submitting completed Light of Christ and Parvuli Dei Emblem applications (with payment) for Diocesan Scout Chaplain approval, cards and emblem orders, please allow up to three weeks processing time before expected receipt. Checks should be made payable to: Diocese of Cleveland (memo line: youth ministry).
