"The home of Nazareth is the school where we begin to understand the life of Jesus the school of the Gospel." (Catechism of the Catholic Church #533)
Children's faith formation begins, in your homes, with parents sharing their spiritual heritage. The diocese is commited to journey with parents now and always, as they raise a generation of young people who know Christ and recognize him in our Church: in the grace of the sacraments, in the prayers that are a part of our lives, and in the community that supports us in times of sorrow as well as joy.
Each parish is here to guide and support families and individuals through this journey. Many programs are offered to bring hope, inspire and be a place that helps children become Catholic in not just what they do, but in who they are.
The Office for Catechetical Formation has a Resource Page dedicated to religious education, sacrament preparation, and more. Studies tell us that parental involvement in the faith-life of their child is by far the most important element in ensuring that a child develops into a practicing Christian.
Our youth ministry office has created a list of resources and links will assist in ministry efforts during challenging times. All are encouraged to use this page as a reference as content will be added throughout the summer.
