A 529 plan is a tax-advantaged investment plan operated by a state to encourage saving for education expenses. Named for Section 529 of the U.S. tax code, there is a risk when investing in a 529 plan, so you should discuss the use of such a plan with a professional financial advisor. Along with college expenses, an Ohio 529 plan may be used for tuition up to $10,000 at a K-12 private or religious school. Please review or download the FAQ document below for more information about the Ohio 529 plan.
