1st Grade Teacher (Full-Time) St. Jude School – Elyria, Ohio St. Jude School in Elyria, Ohio is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic 1st Grade Teacher to join our elementary team. This is a full-time position beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will create a warm, structured, and engaging classroom environment where young learners can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. We are looking for someone who brings energy, patience, and a love for early elementary education.

Key Responsibilities: Serve as a 1st grade homeroom teacher Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction across all core subjects Foster early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills Create a positive and structured classroom environment Use hands-on learning, centers, and engaging instructional strategies Communicate effectively with families Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to meet student needs Support and model the values of our Catholic faith
