Position: 2026-2027 Cafeteria Workers Position Description: Archbishop Hoban High School is seeking two part-time Cafeteria Workers for the 2026–27 school year. Available shifts are 7:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. or 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. and will follow the school calendar. The ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and provide friendly, professional customer service to all students, faculty, and staff. We are a private Catholic high school in the heart of East Akron and rooted in the Holy Cross tradition. Position Responsibilities: • Prepare and serve food according to health and safety guidelines. • Operate kitchen equipment and food service stations. • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and surrounding areas. • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries. • Provide efficient and courteous service to all students, faculty, and staff. • Process cash and student food account transactions. • Support cafeteria team with daily operations as needed. • Work cooperatively with all other cafeteria employees. • Restock serving stations with food, beverages, and utensils. • Performs other related duties and assignments as directed by the Director of Food Services.
Position Qualifications: ● High school or GED diploma. ● Previous food service or cafeteria experience is a plus. ● Ability to stand for extended periods. ● Strong teamwork and communication skills. ● Reliable attendance and punctuality. ● Appropriate criminal records check by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Have attended or are willing to attend a VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training.
