St. Jerome School is seeking a passionate, faith-filled, and dedicated Second Grade Teacher to join our vibrant school community. The ideal candidate will foster academic excellence, nurture the spiritual development of students, and create a positive, engaging classroom environment rooted in Catholic values.
Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in all core subject areas Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment Integrate Catholic teachings and values into daily lessons and activities Prepare students for key academic milestones, including sacramental readiness as applicable Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and guardians Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success and school initiatives Assess student progress and use data to guide instruction
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field (Master’s preferred) Valid Ohio teaching license (or ability to obtain) Commitment to the mission of Catholic education Strong classroom management and organizational skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching in early elementary grades Familiarity with diocesan curriculum and faith formation Practicing Catholic preferred
