The mission of the Catholic Community Foundation (CCF) is to foster faith-based stewardship throughout the community for the spiritual, educational, and charitable needs of all.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Catholic Community Foundation, the Annual Appeals Coordinator supports the Foundation's annual fundraising initiatives by coordinating the planning, implementation, and execution of diocesan appeals, including the Catholic Charities Appeal, Priestly Formation Appeal, and other annual fundraising campaigns.

This position serves as a primary liaison with parishes, diocesan offices, Catholic Charities, and external vendors to ensure successful campaign execution, cultivate strong pastoral relationships, and support effective donor communications.

Position Responsibilities

The Annual Appeals Coordinator supports the Catholic Community Foundation's annual fundraising efforts by:

  • Coordinating diocesan fundraising campaigns, including the Catholic Charities Appeal, Priestly Formation Appeal, and other annual appeals.

  • Collaborating with Catholic Charities, diocesan leadership, parishes, and external vendors to execute successful fundraising initiatives.

  • Building and maintaining strong pastoral relationships with parish leaders.

  • Supporting donor communications and stewardship efforts.

  • Advancing digital engagement through social media and #weGiveCatholic Giving Day initiatives.

Duties and Essential Functions

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities for the Catholic Charities Appeal, Priestly Formation Appeal, and other annual appeals.

  • Support the development of appeal materials by gathering photos and content, coordinating edits, and routing materials for approval.

  • Support onsite appeal events by coordinating logistics, materials, and attendee needs.

  • Coordinate email, social media, and other electronic communications in alignment with the communications calendar.

  • Manage coordination, planning, and strategic direction with internal and external vendor partners.

  • Maintain pastoral relationships with parishes to support local appeal planning, implementation, and goal achievement.

  • Coordinate the in-pew portion of the Catholic Charities Appeal by distributing materials, responding to parish questions, and following up to support successful parish participation.

  • Assist with #weGiveCatholic Giving Day, including:

    • Digital strategy

    • Participant tracking

    • Communications

    • Training support

    • Coordination with the Catholic Community Foundation team

  • Use technology resources to communicate with, steward, and solicit donors for annual appeals.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of three years of experience supporting fundraising campaigns, annual appeals, donor relations, marketing, communications, or nonprofit administration.

  • Experience working with the Catholic Church or another faith-based organization.

  • Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, Mailchimp, HubSpot).

  • Working knowledge of social media management and analytics tools.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including:

    • Excel

    • Word

    • PowerPoint
