St. Thomas More Catholic School is seeking a passionate, faith-filled Part-Time Visual Arts Teacher who is excited to nurture students’ artistic talents while supporting our mission of guiding students to be disciples of Jesus by focusing on spiritual and academic growth. Position Overview: The Art Teacher will provide engaging, developmentally appropriate art instruction for students in preschool (3-year olds) through grade 8. The ideal candidate will foster a love of art, develop foundational art skills, and integrate Catholic values into instruction opportunities. Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver engaging art lessons for students in grades ECE–8 • Introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques, mediums, and art history concepts • Foster creativity, self-expression, and confidence through visual arts • Prepare student artwork for school displays and special events • Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming art classroom environment • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school-wide programs and events • Integrate Catholic values into instruction and classroom culture Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, or related field • Valid teaching license • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
