About the Position: Saint Ignatius High School, a highly successful Catholic, Jesuit college preparatory school for boys in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking an exceptional candidate to serve on the principal's team as Assistant Principal for Student Support beginning summer 2026.

The Assistant Principal for Student Support is responsible for providing comprehensive student support services for all students. The role seeks to assist all students to succeed in the classroom, accompany students and families with the emotional, psychological, and social adjustments to high school, offer support with navigating the college process, and provide a team approach to ensuring that all students grow and thrive at Saint Ignatius High School. The position requires a team and collaborative approach with teachers, counselors, administrators and other professional staff members to develop a culture of support for students and families.
Leadership & Administration
- Serves on the school's administrative leadership team.
- Participates on the Education Sub-Committee of the Board of Regents.
- Participates on the Admissions Committee and works closely with admissions and prospective families throughout the year.
Supervision & Resource Management
- Supervises the Walton Center, overseeing a team of intervention specialists, learning coaches, tutors, and other personnel, and manages the department's budget.
- Supervises the School Counseling and College Counseling departments.
Student Support & Intervention
- Acts as a connector for all students and families to support services.
- Augments and supports the efforts of guidance counselors when special circumstances arise.
- Collaborates with the school psychologist to prepare accommodation plans for students with identified needs.
- Develops plans for students in academic distress or with health challenges, along with the Assistant Principal for Academics.
- Works with Finance and the Director of the Walton Center to manage the Jon Peterson Scholarship program.
Program Development & Management
- Oversees the Advisory Program.
- Manages a summer transition program for incoming freshmen.
- Works in concert with the Vice President of Ignatian Community and Belonging to support students and oversee the Ignite Program for first-generation students.
- Partners with the Welsh Academy to support and prepare Welsh Scholars for their transition to the high school.
Qualifications:
- Previous administrative or leadership experience (department chair, assistant principal, director, etc.)
- A minimum of 7 years of successful experience related to counseling, school counseling or special education
- A degree in counseling, school counseling, or special education is preferred

Salary range: $80,000-$110,000
