Associate Director of Development & Alumni Relations: Benedictine High School

Summary: The Associate Director of Development & Alumni Relations reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for initiating and providing oversight on the Annual Fund, Portfolio Management, the Business Development of individual, foundation and corporate support, alumni engagement, grant writing assistance, analysis, and prospecting management for both Benedictine High School and Saint Andrew Abbey.

Primary Responsibilities: · Manage the Annual Fund for Benedictine High School and St. Andrew Abbey specific to calendar orchestration, analysis, appeal writing and design, segmentation, and reunion year giving. · Solicit corporate and individual support through Business Development by actively seeking out new sponsorship and major gift opportunities. Develop and execute new business based on prospecting, analysis, and research. · Establish and execute identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities for the school and abbey; plan gift strategies in conjunction with all advancement staff members with an assigned donor portfolio. Regularly review achievement toward completion of goals. · Focus on effective communication and solicitation activities within specific market segments identified as having potential for the greatest growth for Benedictine High School and St. Andrew Abbey. · Create fundraising and budget reports for Chief Operating Officer, as well as other members of the department and the school’s administration. · Serve as primary point of contact for alumni-related events, reunions, class engagement, and overall participation. · Enhance the school’s grant writing program and execution of proposals throughout the cycle. Establish the ability to identify like-minded organization, foundation, and individual philanthropists. · Implement a student life-skills initiative specific to oversight and training of donor stewardship & alumni engagement.· All other duties assigned from Chief Operating Officer

Preferred Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree with proven knowledge/experience in sales and project management for a school or non-profit organization (3+ years preferred) · Entrepreneurial, innovative, and proven success in sales/operations roles · Proficiency in Google Drive and development database usage (Raiser’s Edge) · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Highly motivated self-starter with proven leadership skills · Goal driven with excellent time management and organizational skills
