Attendance Coordinator

Part-time, 10-month position, Non-Exempt
The hours are 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Monday through Friday (school days).
Description:
The Attendance Coordinator is responsible for tracking, revising, and maintaining all attendance for students and staff. This position works closely with the Deans in regards to attendance verification, truancy concerns, and state reporting. This is a part-time, ten month position. The hours are 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Monday through Friday (school days).
Essential Duties:
Maintain PowerSchool attendance records for students
- Checks attendance line messages multiple times, records calls, and enters attendance accordingly
- Checks in late arrivals both for tardies to school first period as well as throughout the morning
- Coordinates with front desk for early departures for students
- Collects, scans, and uploads to PowerSchool all attendance absence/tardy notes from parents and medical professionals
- Accurately tracks all student attendance daily and weekly
Communication and Reporting
- Provides state reporting data as required
- Communicates with parents/guardians regarding attendance and absence issues
- Communicates with parents/guardians regarding unexcused absences and tardies as they pertain to state attendance reporting and government scholarships
- Coordinates with Federal Programs Director for scholarship reporting requirements
- Distributes truancy letters in coordination with administration
- Reports chronic truancy per the legal guidelines in conjunction with the administration
- Run weekly attendance/absent reports for administration
- Upload EBT report to the State of Ohio
Minga Duties
- Create and maintain all Minga accounts for students and staff
- Deploy Minga kiosks to all relevant spaces and maintain them
- Coordinate with Dean of Students on issues with Minga accounts
- Run Reports as necessary for administration regarding hall passes and tardies
Maintain Faculty/Staff Attendance
- Maintains, revises, verifies information for faculty and staff absences
- Coordinates and communicates daily substitution duties for teachers per the CHALTA contract
- Communicates absences to Administrative team and Executive Assistants to President and Principal
Job Requirements:
- PowerSchool Experience
- Able to pass FBI/BCI background check
- Uphold the values of the Catholic faith
- VIRTUS certified or willing to be certified
