Job Summary
St. Anselm Catholic Parish is seeking its next business manager. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills and experience in accounting, process improvement, and project management. As a Business Manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing parish finances, payroll, HR, risk management, and office management. Ideal candidates will be practicing Catholics.
Duties
Financial
- General Ledger postings and balancing
- Review all payables – allocation and vendor appropriate and approval from source
- Month End Reports
- Diocesan Reports, quarterly and annual
- Bank Reconciliations
- Liquidity and Cash Flow Management
- Budget monitoring and review
- Compliance for vendors – insurance, contracts, W9
HR and Payroll
- Processing payroll via Paycor
- Maintain all personnel files
- Health Benefits/Pension
- Compliance – Unemployment, Workers’ Comp, Virtus, BCI & FBI
- VIRTUS compliance
- Database/Census maintenance, posting of contributions
School
- Tuition processing
- All deposits and expenses
- Contracts
- Scholarships
- Risk Management
- Be aware of and review, interface with Diocesan Legal for contracts and events
Office Manager
- Ordering of office supplies
- Organize and oversee secretarial scheduling
- Supervise part-time bookkeeper
- Help answer phones as needed
Requirements
- General use of MSOffice, Accounting Software, and Google GSuite
- Education and experience in general accounting
- Strong and confident communicator
- Able to work well with a dynamic staff and parishioners
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data
- Strong budgeting and tracking of parish funds
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- A strong connection that this position is also a ministry at a Catholic Church.

St. Anselm is a growing Catholic parish community located in Chesterland - Geauga County, Ohio. The parish serves approximately 2,300 families, which includes an intentionally smaller size school (1 class of every grade level).
