PRIMARY PURPOSE: To design and implement Individual Education Plans for children with academic and executive functioning needs. The Intervention Specialist will consider factors such as language, developmental level, and health status when making recommendations. The Intervention Specialist will provide classroom instruction and interventions and monitor student progress by collecting data. To ensure success, you need to make informed observations and design effective programs. Preferred applicants are knowledgeable, compassionate and have outstanding data analysis skills.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: ● Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in business-related courses such as: ○ Introduction to Business ○ Entrepreneurship ○ Marketing ○ Personal Finance / Financial Literacy ○ Accounting or Economics (as assigned) ● Integrate real-world applications, project-based learning, and technology into instruction ● Embed STEM/STEAM Habits of Mind, including problem-solving, data analysis, creativity, and innovation ● Connect coursework to college and career pathways, including entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, and business leadership ● Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative methods ● Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs ● Maintain accurate grading, feedback, and communication with students and families ● Collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary planning and professional learning communities ● Participate fully in the life of the school, including: ○ Faculty meetings and professional development ○ Faith formation and Marianist activities Co-curricular or extracurricular involvement (club moderation, events, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: ● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Education, or a related field ● Valid Ohio teaching license (or ability to obtain) ● Virtus Certification or willingness to obtain ● Valid BCI/FBI Background check ● Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the Marianist mission and values ● Strong classroom management and communication skills Preferred: ● Master’s degree in a related field ● Experience teaching high school business or related courses (3 years) ● Experience with project-based learning, entrepreneurship programs, or real-world business applications ● Familiarity with STEM-designated or college-prep school environments Key Competencies ● Student-centered, engaging instructional style ● Strong organizational and planning skills Collaborative mindset and growth orientation ● Ability to connect faith, ethics, and business principles ● Passion for mentoring and developing young leaders Why STVM?
