Campus Minister
Walsh Jesuit High School is seeking a Campus Minister responsible for providing Ignatian-based programming and initiatives to help develop students’ relationships with God, themselves, and others. This position plays a vital role in supporting the spiritual and personal development of students through prayer, liturgy, retreats, immersion trips, service and justice initiatives, and pastoral care. The Campus Minister collaborates with multiple constituents and works under the supervision of the Director of Campus Ministry to coordinate student faith sharing groups and reflection opportunities.
Major Responsibilities:
I. Student Faith Formation
Coordinate and facilitate student faith sharing groups and reflection opportunities.
Provide opportunities for students to grow in their faith.
Encourage students to engage in spiritual programming
II. Liturgy, Retreat & Prayer Leadership
Provide support in areas of prayer, liturgy, retreats, immersions, service & justice initiatives, and pastoral care .
Support seasonal services such as sacramental penance and reconciliation during Advent and Lent.
Support activities such as the daily Examen, weekly meditation, and school-wide prayer.
Execute retreats such as Kairos and others.
III. Personal Faith Formation
Embrace, display, and support Catholic/Christian values and spiritual formation.
Exhibit a lived Catholic faith that inspires the adult community to embrace the graces from the tradition.
Core Qualifications:
- BA in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Social Justice, or related field and/or progress toward an advanced degree.
- Experience living and sharing Catholic faith within a community setting.
- Practicing Catholic with a deep understanding of and commitment to Ignatian spirituality.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Maintain focus and effectively complete multiple projects/priorities despite competing time demands.
- Be available for evening and some weekend hours.
- Commitment to Jesuit values and faith-based student formation.
- Embrace and display Catholic/Christian values and spiritual life.
