Computer Science Teacher/IT: St. Ambrose School

Saint Ambrose Catholic School, a vibrant and growing PreK-8th Grade STEAM school in Brunswick, Ohio, is seeking a Computer Science Teacher/IT to join our school family and guide our students to become thoughtful leaders and creators using technology in the 2026-2027 school year.

Duties include: - Teach State of Ohio coding standards/principles to students in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. - Develop/share/integrate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) and other Next Generation curricula/learning activities and hands-on material for use by Kindergarten through Eighth Grade teachers. - Create and implement strategies for weaving coding into multi-disciplinary curricula. - Maintain school devices. - Assist with chromebook inventory, care and break/fix tracking. Requirements: -Bachelor's degree in an Informational Technology or related field. -Valid State of Ohio teaching license. -Successful completion of VIRTUS training. -FBI and BCI background checks. -Knowledge of coding and STEM/STEAM best practices. -Empathy and positive interpersonal skills. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Proficiency with basic computer software/Google Apps for Education, coding, Makey-Makey, Sphero, Scratch, etc. -Experience working with children and adolescents. -Previous experience as a computer science teacher. -Strong classroom management skills.
