Description The Development & Engagement Director serves as a key leader responsible for advancing the mission of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and School through strategic fundraising, donor relations, marketing, and community engagement initiatives. Rooted in Gospel values and the teachings of the Catholic Church, this position builds meaningful relationships with stakeholders to foster a culture of stewardship, philanthropy, and faith-filled involvement. The director develops and executes a comprehensive development program including major gifts, capital campaigns, grant writing, planned giving, and alumni and parent engagement. This individual supports communications and marketing strategies that promote the vitality of the school and parish, enhance enrollment and participation, and strengthen community ties. Reporting to the principal, the Development & Engagement Director works collaboratively with parish and school leadership, business manager, finance council, and volunteers to ensure mission-driven growth and long-term sustainability. The ideal candidate is a relationship-builder, skilled communicator, and passionate advocate for Catholic education and parish life. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Fundraising & Development ~Design and lead all fundraising efforts, including efforts by school groups, major gifts, capital campaigns, and legacy giving. ~Manage donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to build lasting philanthropic relationships. ~Maintain a donor database and ensure timely acknowledgment of gifts. Engagement & Community Relations ~Develop and implement strategies to engage alumni, current and prospective families, parishioners, and the broader community. ~Coordinate volunteer efforts and lead community-building events, such as auctions, galas, and giving days. ~Serve as a visible and welcoming presence at school and parish functions. Collaboration & Leadership ~Work closely with the principal, pastor, business manager, finance council, and other key stakeholders. ~Provide regular updates and reports on fundraising goals, campaign progress, and engagement metrics. ~Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards in all interactions.

Requirements/Preferred Experience: ~A bachelor's degree is required. ~Experience in partnership development and fundraising techniques. ~Driver’s License and/or reliable transportation ~Clearance of an FBI and BCI Background Check ~Virtus trained (or willing to do so) Interested individuals should email his/her cover letter, resume, and three references to Mrs. Susan Herman, sherman@sfaschoolgm.org.
