Director of Campus Ministry

Walsh Jesuit High School is seeking a Director of Campus Ministry who is responsible for providing for the pastoral care and faith formation of students, faculty, and staff. This position plays a vital role in sustaining the school's Catholic identity and Ignatian spirituality while fostering a vibrant, inclusive spiritual life. The Director of Campus Ministry is expected to lead with compassion, initiative, and collaboration, creating a welcoming environment for all members of the school community. The Director of Campus Ministry works under the supervision of the ­­­­­Vice President for Mission and Identity to design, implement, and oversee ministry-related programming and faith development initiatives. Major Responsibilities: I. Student Faith Formation a. Create an inviting and inclusive space to foster students’ spiritual life. b. Provide pastoral support and opportunities for students to grow in their faith. c. Empower students to lead and engage in spiritual programming. II. Retreat Program a. Design and maintain the vision for the school's retreat program across all grade levels. b. Collaborate with Campus Ministry staff to execute retreats such as Kairos. c. Recruit and support faculty participation in retreats. d. Develop optional retreat opportunities for juniors and seniors III. Liturgy & Prayer Leadership a. Plan and coordinate all-campus liturgies and sacramental celebrations. b. Manage logistics with presiders, musicians, and facilities staff. c. Organize seasonal services such as sacramental penance and reconciliation during Advent and Lent. d. Oversee daily Examen, weekly meditation, and school-wide prayer IV. Faculty/Staff & Departmental Leadership a. Chair Campus Ministry Department and oversee and provide regular evaluation and support of campus ministers. b. Collaborate with other departments and units on joint programming V. Personal Faith Formation a. Embrace, display, and support Catholic/Christian values and spiritual formation. b. Regular participation in Ignatian formation activities including the school’s formal formation program, school masses, retreats, and other activities/events as scheduled

Core Qualifications: Practicing Catholic with a deep understanding of and commitment to Ignatian spirituality. Minimum of five years of professional ministry experience, with an advanced degree in theology or a related field. Demonstrated leadership experience within a school or pastoral setting. Ability to collaborate across departments and guide a team. Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills. Engaging, approachable, and pastoral presence with both students and adults.
