Director of Campus Ministry (Full-time, 12 month position)

Position Description: Provides spiritual leadership and oversight into the school’s faith formation programs, fostering a vibrant Catholic identity rooted in the teachings of the Brother’s of Holy Cross and the Catholic Church. Collaborating with administrators, faculty, students and parents develops ways to integrate faith into all aspects of school life.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with school Administrators develops the school’s retreats, mass, and prayer life calendar for the school year.
  • Works with VP of Faith, Mission and Culture in designing, planning, and organizing engaging retreat programs and retreat activities, overseeing the execution of both.
  • Sources feedback from retreat adult leaders and student participants, sharing this feedback with the school’s Administrators.
  • Provides insight into the school’s theology curriculum and supports religious education initiatives for students and employees.
  • Works with Director of Student Life and House System in developing spiritual programming through the house system
  • May assist with teaching theology class as needed.
  • Sources and promotes social justice initiatives consistent with the school’s Mission.
  • Serves as one of the spiritual leaders and role models for students and staff.
  • Collaborates with faculty and counseling staff in support of student’s well-being.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with clergy, musicians and other school’s Campus Ministers.
  • Represents St. Edward HS at Diocesan events and local faith based gatherings.
  • Actively participates in Admission efforts promoting the school’s faith formation programs.
  • Regularly communicates with parents regarding the school’s ministry initiatives.
  • Effectively manages the retreat budget

Qualifications:

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church
  • Masters degree preferred, Bachelors degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry or related discipline
  • 3+ years working with teenage students in a faith based leadership position
  • Strong administrative and program development skills
  • Desire and ability to engage students and staff in meaningful faith based conversations and activities
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming faith community
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Range

$45,000 — $65,000
