Holy Family Preschool in Parma is seeking a Director of Preschool and Lead Teacher for the school year, beginning July 1st. Holy Family Preschool runs year round.
Director position overview: The Director will oversee the preschool program, including daily operations and maintaining state licensing rules and regulations.
Director key responsibilities: Manage enrollment and tours throughout the year. Maintain student and staff files in compliance with state licensing. Collaborate with the preschool team and school staff. Plan events such as Open House, Parent Night, spirit weeks and conferences. Staff the building in accordance to ratio at all times. Communicate weekly with staff in a newsletter and with parents as needed. Maintain a professional relationship with staff, students and families.
Teacher position overview: The Lead Teacher will promote a caring classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized, small group, and full class learning.
Teacher key responsibilities: Develop and administer lessons that align with the established Diocese of Cleveland curriculum and State of Ohio standards. Plan, prepare and deliver age appropriate instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences, using technology and a variety of learning materials. Manage student behavior and maintain discipline in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Encourage parental involvement and create effective communication with parents. Meet the requirements set forth by the State of Ohio and those outlined in the employee handbook. Work collaboratively with the preschool team to promote a professional and positive learning environment.
Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree & non-tax teaching license is required. Current Ohio PreK to 3rd Licensure preferred. The classroom teacher must be Virtus trained (or willing to be trained, pass FBI and BCI background checks, comply with DCY required trainings, and be CPR/First Aid certified.
