K-8 Music Teacher / Liturgical Musician (4 Days/Week) Job Type: 4 Days per Week, Tuesday–Friday All Saints School is seeking a joyful, creative, and inspiring K-8 Music Teacher and Liturgical Musician to join our faculty for the upcoming academic year. This position is a four-day-per-week role (Tuesday through Friday) that combines classroom music education with the vibrant liturgical and community life of our school. The ideal candidate will foster a love for music in students from Kindergarten through 8th Grade, direct annual grade-level musical programs, and lead the musical worship for our school Masses.

Key Responsibilities

1. Classroom Music Instruction (Grades K-8) - Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate music lessons for students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade (Tuesday–Friday schedule). - Introduce students to music theory, history, vocal performance, and basic instruments (e.g., percussion, recorders, or ukulele) aligned with state and diocesan standards. - Nurture confidence, collaboration, and a lifelong appreciation for music in a positive classroom environment. 2. Grade-Level Musical Programs - Direct, rehearse, and execute annual grade-level musical programs or concerts (typically one program per grade level/grouping per year). - Coordinate logistics for performances, including stage presence, song selection, and collaboration with classroom teachers for performance preparation. 3. Liturgical Music Leadership (Fridays) - Work with the campus minister to select, prepare, and play the music (piano/organ and/or acoustic guitar) for weekly school Masses. - Form and direct a student Cantor program or school Liturgical Choir to actively involve students in leading musical worship. - Collaborate with the campus ministry team to ensure music choices align with the liturgical calendar and Catholic tradition.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, or a related field preferred. Experience: Previous experience teaching music to elementary and/or middle school students is highly desirable. Musical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in piano/keyboard (or guitar) with the ability to confidently lead congregational singing during Mass. Faith Alignment: An understanding of Catholic liturgy and a commitment to supporting the faith-based mission and culture of All Saints School. Compliance: Must successfully complete a background checks and child safety/safe environment (Virtus) training. Schedule & Benefits Work Schedule: Tuesday through Friday (4 days per week (negotiable)).
