St. Benedict Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 6th and 7th-grade English Language Arts Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. We are a faith-filled Catholic learning community committed to academic excellence and the development of the whole child—spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally. The ideal candidate will foster a love of reading and writing while creating a supportive, engaging, and faith-centered classroom environment that encourages students to grow as critical thinkers, effective communicators, and lifelong learners.
Position Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction for students in grades 6 and 7 Teach reading comprehension, literature analysis, grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills aligned to state standards Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and meaningful discussion through literature and writing activities Create a positive, structured, and faith-centered classroom environment that supports student success Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to monitor student growth and achievement Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and families to support student learning and development Support and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development
