St. Benedict Catholic School is seeking a Junior High Science Teacher (Grades 6–8) with a focus on STEM education for the 2026-2027 school year. We are a Catholic school dedicated to academic excellence, faith formation, and nurturing the whole child—spiritually, academically, and socially.
Position Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging, standards-based science and STEM lessons for middle school students Incorporate hands-on experiments, engineering challenges, and inquiry-based learning to foster critical thinking and problem-solving Support students’ understanding of life, physical, and earth sciences through real-world STEM applications Create a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages curiosity and collaboration Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and families to support student success Uphold the Catholic mission and values of St. Benedict Catholic School Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science, STEM Education, or a related field Valid Ohio teaching license or eligibility to obtain one Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills Passion for teaching middle school students and fostering curiosity in science and STEM Commitment to collaboration and continuous professional growth
