Location: Wickliffe, Ohio Start Date: 2026-2027 Academic Year Position Overview The Lake County Catholic School Network is seeking an energetic, organized, and faith-filled educator for our intermediate grades. Our 3–5 program is designed to bridge the gap between foundational primary years and middle school independence. We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable in either a self-contained 3rd-grade environment or a departmentalized 4th/5th-grade setting (specializing in specific core subjects).
Key Responsibilities Spiritual Growth: Model Gospel values and lead students in daily prayer, scripture reflection, and liturgical participation. Instructional Models: * Grade 3: Deliver high-quality instruction across all core subjects in a self-contained classroom. Grades 4–5: Collaborate within a departmentalized team to provide specialized instruction in specific subject areas (Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies, Religion).
Academic Rigor: Guide students in developing critical thinking, executive function, and independent study habits aligned with Ohio Learning Standards. Data-Driven Instruction: Use assessment data (MAP Testing) to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
Partnership: Maintain proactive, professional communication with parents and colleagues to support the "whole child."
Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
Licensure: Valid Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Teaching License (K–8, PreK–5, or 4–9) or ability to obtain one. Faith: (Not required, but preferred) Practicing Catholic in good standing, dedicated to the mission of Catholic education. Must pass FBI/BCI background checks and complete the Virtus "Protecting God’s Children" training. Benefits & Compensation
