MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES -Develop and implement engaging art lesson plans that fulfill diocesan curriculum requirements and align with educational standards for kindergarten through eighth grade. -Provide instruction in a variety of artistic media, techniques, and art history appropriate to each grade level. -Show written evidence of preparation and adapt lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of students. -Assess student progress regularly and use results to inform instructional practices and artistic growth. -Organize and display student artwork throughout the school and coordinate school-wide art showcases or exhibitions. -Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers and administration to integrate art across the curriculum when appropriate. -Maintain open lines of communication through conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers, conveying student strengths and areas for growth per school guidelines. -Uphold professional relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community members. -Attend faculty meetings and participate actively in school committees and events. -Take responsibility for leading or assisting with one student club or extracurricular activity at Holy Trinity.
GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES Education/Certification/Experience: Must hold an Ohio state teaching license appropriate for teaching art education (K–12 preferred).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: -In-depth knowledge of art education curriculum, visual arts standards, and effective instructional strategies for elementary and middle school students. -Proficient in a variety of artistic media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art. -Ability to integrate faith-based values into instruction consistent with the mission of Catholic education. -Strong skills in communication, organization, problem-solving, creativity, and flexibility. -Proficient in using educational technology and digital design tools to enhance learning experiences.
