St. Anthony of Padua School - Akron
Saint Anthony of Padua School, a faith-filled Catholic elementary school in Akron, is seeking dedicated and flexible individuals to serve as substitute teachers. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a positive, structured, and faith-centered learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Responsibilities: Implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher. Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom environment. Supervise students throughout the school day, including transitions and specials. Uphold school policies, procedures, and Catholic values. Communicate effectively with school staff regarding the day’s activities and any concerns.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Valid Ohio teaching license or substitute teaching license (or willingness to obtain). Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. Experience working with children is preferred.
