Maintenance Assistant: St. Helen School

Job Title: Maintenance Assistant Location: St. Helen Church & School Status: Part-Time (with possibility of Full-Time in the future)

Position Summary The Maintenance Assistant supports the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the St. Helen Church and School campus in alignment with the mission and values of the Diocese of Cleveland. This role assists with building and grounds maintenance to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, parishioners, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - General building maintenance and minor repairs - Light electrical and plumbing work - HVAC filter changes and basic inspections - Snow removal and salting of walkways - Grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, and weeding - Trash and recycling removal - Other duties as assigned Schedule Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Winter schedule may require 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Qualifications & Requirements - Ability to lift at least 50 pounds consistently - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Must pass a federal background check - Must be able to work in a non-smoking environment - Must be able to work around children
