Math Teacher- Grades (6-8): St. Gabriel School

Position Open: Math Teacher (Grades 6 – 8) Founded in 1963 by the Sisters of Holy Humility of Mary, St. Gabriel School is a coeducational Catholic elementary school committed to educating children in our Catholic faith by challenging them to be the leaders in faith. With a population of approximately 570 students from Junior Kindergarten to 8th Grade, St. Gabriel School is a Better Together partner school and offers its students a technology rich, holistic educational experience. St. Gabriel School fosters a positive learning environment by focusing on the needs of the whole child and living our school’s mission of “being Christ every day, everywhere through teaching, learning, leading, and serving.” St. Gabriel School is seeking a highly qualified candidate to teach mathematics to Grades 6 to 8.

Applicants must be collaborative, data driven, and compassionate. Our junior high teachers serve as homeroom teachers as well as covering their subject matter across multiple grade levels. This team works together to create a positive experience for our students. Teachers take on leadership roles in the school, help plan fun activities and field trips, and act as role models for the Catholic faith. They must be willing to live the mission of St. Gabriel School and positively impact their students each day.

Applicants must have the following qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or higher • Valid mathematics teaching license (Middle Childhood 4-9 or Adolescent to Young Adult 7-12) • Experience working with junior high students • Obtain VIRTUS certification • Ability to successfully pass background check through FBI & BCI • Hold or be willing to obtain proper religious certification through the Diocese of Cleveland Please submit a letter of interest, resume and three references to: Robert Kumazec, Principal employment@st-gabrielschool.org
