We are seeking a passionate and faith-filled educator to join our theology department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Catholic theology, a love for working with young people, and a desire to help students grow in faith, knowledge, and purpose. Position Summary The Theology Teacher is responsible for teaching middle and high school theology courses while fostering a classroom environment that promotes academic excellence, spiritual growth, critical thinking, and active participation in the life of the Church.

Responsibilities Teach theology courses as assigned by the principal. Develop engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum and standards established by the Diocese of Toledo. Help students deepen their understanding of Sacred Scripture, Catholic doctrine, Church history, morality, prayer, and discipleship. Foster a classroom culture rooted in faith, respect, and academic excellence. Encourage students to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a deeper appreciation for the Catholic faith. Assess student learning and maintain accurate academic records. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel. Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the mission and goals of St. Peter's School. Participate in school liturgies, retreats, service opportunities, and other faith-based activities. Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal.

Qualifications Qualified candidates will: Be a practicing Catholic committed to faithfully teaching and witnessing the teachings of the Catholic Church. Demonstrate a strong commitment to Catholic education and faith formation. Possess a bachelor's degree or higher in theology, religious studies, education, ministry, catechetics, or a related field. Hold a valid Ohio teaching license or be willing to obtain appropriate licensure and certification. Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Have experience working with adolescents in educational, ministry, coaching, mentoring, or faith formation settings. Successfully complete FBI and BCI background checks and the Diocese of Toledo VIRTUS Safe Environment Program.
