Saint Brendan Classical Catholic School is seeking a Science Teacher for grades 6-8 (Frassati Preparatory Academy at St. Brendan School) for the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates should practice effective classroom management with excellent organization and structure, demonstrate the ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, have a strong command of integrated science (Life, Earth, Physical), facilitate the school Science Fair, communicate regularly with parents and colleagues, utilize the school software/management platforms, submit lesson plans and grades punctually, prioritize safe oversight of students in all lab, classroom, and school settings, and other duties as assigned. Candidates should also be collaborative, receptive to coaching and feedback, and enthusiastic to practice the teaching ministry/vocation in a positive, team-oriented community. Candidates must also be committed to learning and implementing Classical Catholic pedagogies, theories, themes, and curriculum. Candidates should live the virtues and morals compatible with and supportive of the teachings and mission of St. Brendan School, the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, and the Roman Catholic Church. Candidates must pass a background check and have a Bachelor’s degree and teaching experience, preferably in the science field.
The compensation range is ~$36,000-$55,000 depending on experience. The candidate offered a contract must eventually submit three letters of recommendation, fill out a Diocesan Employment Application, and obtain certifications that all full-time employees at schools in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland are required to have: VIRTUS certification, and Religious certification through Diocesan online courses (approximately four classes, four hours each, spread over two years).
