Part Time

Organist: St. Rocco

Looking for a part-time organist to regularly play three Masses per weekend (Saturday 4pm, Sunday 9:30am and 12noon). To have knowledge and ability to play a pipe organ (including the playing the pedals). To be able to provide appropriate music to include preludes and postludes and additional music as requested by the Director of Music and/or the Pastor. The parish uses the Saint Michael Hymnal and Ignatius Pew Missal. All parish liturgies are organized and planned by the Director of Music. To accompany the soloists, choirs, various instrumentalists, in rehearsals and performances. Additional duties include playing for special services including Holy Week: Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil; 40 hours devotions, the parish patronal feast (Labor Day weekend), Holy Days of Obligation, Stations of the Cross (Friday evenings in Lent) and Christmas Eve. When a substitute organist is required, the organist shall arrange a substitute which shall be subject to the approval of the Director of Music. The organist has the right to play for all weddings and funerals at the parish with remuneration agreed upon with the Director of Music and the Pastor.
